Hmmm....short run down on things here.
Our bosses made new advertisements a couple of weeks ago and Clinton and I are now on the side of all of our buses, smiling with a bunch of kinder kids. There's a new flyer out too. I knew they were picking new picks for that too, but little did I know that I would be the face of English Friends for that as well. It's an okay shot of Emily, a kinder kid, and I during halloween. It's just kind of funny to see your own face on things like that. I don't have any batteries in my digital for now, but I'm gonna load it up soon and get some shots at some point.
I'm also in the middle of renegiating for a third contract. I'm still not sure if I'll stay, but I would kind of like too, if not for anything else, other than to really be able to travel and save at the same time. I've at least been able to talk to one of my bosses a couple of times. I told them what I need and they came back with a schedule and "incentives" that certainly weren't decent enough to merit my staying, as well as they didn't really do anything about the exhausting schedule that both Clinton and I both have. She kept bringing up teaching hours and just wasn't getting the point that that isn't the problem. I had to, as nicely as I could, explain that being at work for 9-10 hours nearly everyday, regardless of "class" hours, is just not acceptable. She came back by offering that I could come in around 30 min.-1 hour later a couple of days a week. Then she suggested making the schedule so that I could finish no later than 6pm. I was like, well....if you coud do both of those, that could be okay. That's not really how she was meaning it though. I think she meant, either one or the other. As far as I'm concerned though...it would be worth it on their parts, if it would get them to keep a 2 year experienced teacher that the parents already know and like and that they know is a decent teacher. I'm just not sure though. There are so many variables, because they just don't know everything about next March (the start of hte next school year) now. A lot of things depend on how many new kids sign up. Our meeting ended with her saying she would make a sample schedule for me to look at soon. I'll let you know from there if any progress is made...
Well....gotta go. It's getting late and I'm a little sleepy.
